Overview
A highly specialised field of expertise, hydrographic surveying is undertaken to accurately determine marine and oceanographic data including:

HydroSurvey Australia consists of a team of specialised and
experienced personnel. They have provided Flinders Ports, its
predecessors and a growing number of external clients with a highly
professional hydrographic surveying capability.
As part of it's regular port program, Flinders Ports' uses HydroSurvey Australia to perform recurrent surveys of its navigational channels and berths for design and maintenance purposes. In addition to this core function, they undertake contract hydrographic and bathymetric surveys:
- for the design and construction of commercial ports and marinas
- for navigation purposes, sweep surveys, locating shoals and reefs
- and to measure currents and coastal sand migration.
This regular and recurrent surveying program of work is in integral part of Flinders Ports' risk mitigation strategy.
The wide-ranging skills and expertise of key personnel are complemented
with modern, state-of-the-art technology and equipment which is used in all facets
of hydrographic surveying and tidal data management.
