East Point & Larrakeyah Sewage Outfall
In October 2008, HydroSurvey Australia was engaged by GHD, Darwin to undertake bathymetric surveys at two locations in Darwin Harbour – East Point and Larrakeyah.
The objective of the works was to capture fine scale bathymetric data for the East Point and Larrakeyah study areas.
The East Point area was surveyed from 26 October to 3 November and the Larrakeyah area survey only took one hour to complete. The survey vessel Felix was used for the bathymetric surveys.
The Felix and a Toyota 4WD Landcruiser were transported to Darwin from Adelaide on a low loader. A hinged over-the-side mount carried the GeoAcoustics Geoswath Plus wide swath survey system.
All data, both paper and electronic, was supplied with the final report on 3 December 2008.
